Senior Developer / Researcher (m/w/d)

Projekt EDDIE | School of Informatics, Communications and Media | Hagenberg


  • You define the software architecture of the project according to the latest technological standards (international Horizon Projekt "EDDIE" - European Distributed Data Infrastructure For Energy)
  • You guide and support other developers in the team and also develop state-of-the-art code
  • You write clean, maintainable, testable and understandable code
  • You drive unit and integration testing within your project team
  • You passionately strive for quality and great user experience
  • You develop the technical concept with your project team and present it to the consortium
  • You define development guidlines and best practices
  • You facilitate workshops on technical topics with your project team and/or the client team


  • You have completed a technical study on MSc or PhD level (e.g. computer science, software engineering ...) 
  • You have several years of solid professional experience in object-oriented programming with Java
  • You are familiar with the following technologies: Apache Kafka, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Git 
  • You develop clean, maintainable, testable and understandable code (following Clean Architecture und SOLID principles)
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a high degree of quality awareness
  • You have experience with unit and integration testing
  • You know when and how to apply Design Patterns and Separation of Concerns
  • You understand the value of static code analysis and continuous integration tools
  • You have a good command of written and spoken English
