AMM student publishes at International Conference on Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering
Daniel Louback, master’s student in the international Automotive Mechatronics and Management program at the University of Applied Sciences in Wels, presented his work on Frontier-Based Exploration for Mobile Robots in Barcelona.
The innovative approach of extending existing maps for autonomous robots as basis for SLAM algorithms was developed in close cooperation with the Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH (LCM) and well received within the international scientific community at the 6th edition of the conference. The paper will be published in IEEE explorer.
“It is an awesome experience to be here and discuss with researchers from all around the world!”, Daniel Louback states happily. “Mr. Louback worked towards this publication with enthusiasm and on his personal self-initiative. The AMM Management is proud, that the study program is able to attract and recruit such exceptional students from all around the world!”, Dr. Schlechter points out.
Of course, after all the work, Mr. Louback honestly deserves some recreational “work” in the evening. Congratulations, Daniel!
