AMM on the tracks of the ski world champions
Driven by the fascination of the Austrian winter and the enthusiasm in snow sports, a large number of AMM students of the 2019 class explored the Schladming-Dachstein World Championship Region to make their tracks in the snow.
The Schladming-Dachstein World Championship Region is home to some of the most impressive ski mountains in Austria – such as Schladming´s Planai and the Dachstein Glacier as well as. Thanks to the good location and outstanding snow conditions, an early start to winter season was guaranteed. Due to its geographical location, it is also easy for students from Wels to visit this region for a day of skiing. This is the reason why some AMM students could not resist the wonderful weather and the good snow conditions last weekend and set off for Schladming. This "AMM delegation" was made up of representatives from five continents and therefore for some of them it was the first time they came into contact with snow, and thus also with ski. Some experienced “AMM ski pros”, however, taught their fellow students the essential techniques in a short time and so all together mastered the steepest slopes and had a lot of fun. Sonja Gruber summed up at the end of the day: " Everyone was skiing, also the ones who couldn't ski before were doing a very good job! It was certainly not the last AMM-day of skiing in the mountains!”
