Career Profile

Mechanical Engineering is both a tried and tested subject, and  field with many new trends: 3D design, simulation, lightweight construction, bionics etc. The development of lighter and stronger components for motor vehicles, aircraft or satellites requires the use of innovative design and calculation methods. The resultant benefits for the economy and society form the sustainable basis for our high-tech world.

As a graduate of this course you can, using the most up-to-date methods, develop or optimise machine components which meet the highest technical and economic standards. At the same time the products you are dealing with are always concrete and tangible.

Tasks in industry consist in the development, planning and optimisation of machines and machine components, with the additional possibility of work in testing. External functions such as representing companies as a technical advisor to customers and suppliers or as a speaker at fairs and symposia are also possible.
