FH Upper Austria Managing Director becomes General Secretary of IAUP for three years

The International Association of University Presidents officially elected a new international management team on Saturday, with a senior Austrian secretary general. Gerald Reisinger, Managing Director of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, who has been very active in international networks for many years, will take over the function for the next three years.

More than 300 participants from around 50 nations
The Young Scientists Conference, the little sister of the Triennale so to speak, took place at the Vienna Hofburg from 5 to 8 July at the same time as the conference for university presidents. Innovative technologies for learning and teaching, simulation in the transfer of knowledge and the expectations of industry in prospective universities constituted a special focus of both conferences. In total, more than 300 university rectors and researchers from almost 50 nations and 140 different universities and research institutes took part.
