Welcome to the Steyr Campus !3-2-1- in september it starts!

Campus tour, career festival with DJ party, ÖH-Pub crawl or a joint canteen meal with your new fellow students. At your "Welcome" you will get to know the campus; get all the information you need for your studies and can dive right into student life.

Here you will find the most important information and tips you need for the start of your studies in September. For all first-semester bachelor students, there are also insights into the start of your new (student) life.

Check-IN 1st study day

Students usually start the academic year with a block week in early/mid-September. You will receive detailed dates and information about the 1st study day by email from your degree programme.

We start in the lecture hall with the most important information, a joint lunch and team-building seminars. And there will be a few surprises waiting for you in your starter goodie bag.

Work & Study, Financial Matters

Part-time job
Many of our students work part-time for 5-10 hours to supplement their budget. Job offers for students (internships etc.) are published on our homepage at:

Part-time study
In principle, you can enrol as a full-time as well as a part-time student on most degree programmes. (For more information, see the respective degree programme).

Scholarships, grants & subsidies
Information can be found at and An information event will be held on campus in autumn. 
Furthermore, the degree programmes award performance and support scholarships - information on this is available from the degree programme secretariats.
In addition to the family allowance, you can also receive a study allowance, a self-employment grant and a food allowance. The ÖH is the first point of contact for further details (

The FH OÖ Sports Team offers numerous courses in a wide range of sports. The new programme will be available from autumn at

In addition, the Steyrer Au offers a natural recreation area with river bathing places, the surrounding mountains, quickly accessible mountain bike and hiking routes (e.g. Dambergwarte, Grünburger Hütte,...).

The city of Steyr also offers an overview of sports and cultural activities.  In addition to numerous clubs, there are, for example, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an ice skating rink, the Old Theatre, Röda Cultural Association, AKKU Cultural Centre, City Cinema, Star Movie and much more.

Public transport - train & bus
Train station and bus terminal are within 10 minutes walking distance.

Car - Carpooling - Parking
All information about travelling by car can be found here.

There is a short-stay parking zone around Steyr University of Applied Sciences. There are several multi-storey car parks available - there are discounted parking cards for students. Free parking is also available within walking distance. For details, please contact the Information office.
