Application Process for GSM Master
1. Complete the online application
2. Add the required documents – translated into German or English from a certified translation office. Please do not send any originals.
National and international applicants have to provide these documents in German or English:
- Personal Statement / Motivation Letter (objectives, career aspirations, personal interests and plans)
- General school qualification certificate for university (A-Levels, High School Diploma)
- Transcript of Records (of your Bachelor degree)
- Bachelor Diploma incl. Diploma Supplement (if already available)
- Birth certificate
- Proof of nationality or passport
- Curriculum Vitae
- Passport-sized photo
- Filled prerequisites sheet
International applicants have to additionally provide these documents in English or German:
- Certificate of Proficiency in English – IELTS min. 6.5 / TOEFL min. 87 points / Cambridge Certificate C1
- VPD issued by UniAssist (please follow the instructions during the application). This document is mandatory if you have a non-EU school education.
International applicants have to additionally provide a legalized copy of these documents in German or English:
- General school qualification certificate for university (A-Levels, High School Diploma)
- Transcript of Records (of your Bachelor degree)
- Bachelor Diploma incl. Diploma Supplement (if already available)
Applicants who completed their education within the EU do not have to legalize their documents.
If your country is a member of the Hague Convention (list of countries click here), you have to prove the legalization of your documents in the form of the Apostille (information click here ).
If your country is not a member of the Hague Convention, you have to prove full diplomatic accreditation of your certificates.
A full diplomatic accreditation must contain the confirmation and stamps of your appropriate Ministry of Foreign Affairs (of your home country) and the stamp of an Austrian authority for your certificates. We cannot process your application unless you submit these documents to us.

Please itemize each course in the chart list - detailed with the ECTS or American Credit Points (legalized from your University!) and upload the filled list with all the other required documents.
In the case that you can’t prove 10 ECTS (or equivalent credit points) in the lecture “English” – submit instead an English certificate (IELTS min. 6.5 / TOEFL min. 87 points / Cambridge Certificate C1) even if the main language of your University is English! For Non EU applicants it is obligatory to prove a TOEFL or IELTS certificate! The certificate should not be older than 2 years.
3. Online application for EU and NON-EU citizens is possible until semester start on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Processing takes place in slots until the end of each month. A study place cannot be guaranteed for late applications.
Please note: Students are responsible for the timely submission of application documents (e.g. VPD from Uni Assist for third countries, visa etc.).

4. Please acknowledge that we can only process complete applications (including all documents).We will check your documents and give you feedback. If you meet all the formal requirements we will invite you to one of our obligatory admission procedures.

Dates of admission procedure for the GSM-Master degree course. The English test and personal interview are on the following days:
1. Appointment: Wednesday, 7th February 2024

3. Appointment: Wednesday, 22nd May 2024
4. Appointment: Wednesday, 3rd July 2024
The Master's admission procedure includes an Englisch test, a personal interview and the preparation of a case study.
You will receive the specific appointment as well as detailed information by e-mail from the respective degree programme.
The admission procedure is conducted online. Subject to change. Detailed information will be sent out after invitation.
We will inform you if your admission has been successful within 2 weeks.
