Arriving by car is the easiest way
- From Linz
via the A1 motorway - exit St. Florian/Asten via Wolfern to Steyr
- From Vienna
via the A1 motorway – exit Haag to Steyr
- From Salzburg
via the A1 motorway - exit Sattledt via Kremsmünster, Bad Hall to Steyr
- from Graz
via the Pyhrn A9 motorway- exit Klaus via Leonstein, Grünburg to Steyr
- From Germany
via Munich /Salzburg: A1 as described when coming from Salzburg. Via Passau: Innkreis motorway A8 (Border crossing Suben) via Linz, exit St. Florian/Asten to Steyr
Once you are in STEYR follow the signs for "Campus Steyr" or "Museum Arbeitswelt". The FH Campus is located directly next to Museum Arbeitswelt.
Parking is available for students:
- in the underground car park at Wieserfeldplatz (chargeable),
- at Tabor in the underground car park Stadthalle (approx. 12 min walk, about 100 parking spaces – 0-3 hours free of charge, each additional ½ hour costs 50 cents) and
- in the town square garage (approx. 10 min walk, about 260 parking spaces, ½ hour costs 50 cents).
Please note the short-stay parking zone in the Wehrgraben some of which is subject to a parking fee
Arrival with the Austrian Railways (ÖBB) is possible via Linz or St. Valentin (IC stop). From there, direct connections to Steyr are available every half hour. From the train station in Steyr it is best to take a taxi or walk to the FH Campus(approx. 10 minutes on foot).
Steyr can easily be reached by bus from Linz and the surrounding areas – as far as Kirchdorf. The bus terminal is located near the railway station.
The nearest airport is Linz "Blue Danube Airport" (LNZ), with direct flights to Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Graz, Salzburg, Wien and Zürich. Arrival in Steyr is by rental car or by taxi. Alternatively, there are shuttle buses to the main station in Linz.
