Worldwide unique phase-contrast computer tomograph for non-destructive materials testing at the University of Applied Sciences in Wels

Recently a new computer tomograph for non-destructive materials testing became operative at the  School of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Wels.   The materials testing device, which has a price-tag of 380,000 euros, is the first of its kind worldwide and was developed by the Belgian company Bruker-Skycan in co-operation with the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. By computer tomography materials are non-destructively x-rayed and the results  analysed, measured and visualised.
