NewsFH Upper Austria, Linz Campus

Summer School 2011

From June 5-17, Linz Campus hosted  students and three professors from our partner, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Helen Bader School of Social Welfare. Dean Stan Stojkovic, an internationally recognized expert in the field of criminal justice, accompanied the group. Lectures, site visits, and excursions introduced our guests from the USA to Austrian social policy, immigration and integration, youth welfare, violence intervention, Garsten Prison, police work and work with offenders of all ages, as well as substance abuse and treatment.

Our guests also enjoyed exchanging ideas and information with FH students,  a cruise on the Danube, a guided tour of Linz, a bus trip through Salzkammergut with a half day in Salzburg, as well as our delicious Austrian food.
