Steyr: The new international crowd has arrived!

At the School of Management, 57 international exchange students and 15 degree seeking students have just arrived in Steyr to start their exciting semester or even two full years abroad. For the first time, Argentinean, Canadian and Indian students are among the group of international students (“incomings”).

Each incoming received proper introduction into studying and living in Steyr provided by the International Office as well as the Erasmus Student Network. Many local students are around to help the incomings getting through with their daily life in Steyr.

While receiving a German Crash course, the incomings especially enjoyed social events such as a game evening, bowling event, an Austrian evening presenting many local customs while eating traditional Austrian food, and a trip to Linz. On Monday lectures will start with the first one focusing on the intercultural environment and how to act effectively among people from various origins, delivered by Prof. Prauhart, a graduate from Harvard University. After this introductory program each student is prepared to follow their own schedule and fulfill their academic tasks.
