Entry Requirements

FOR BACHELOR'S DEGREE APPLICANTS (from 2005)

Option 1* -access

Swiadectwo ukonczenia - Liceum ogolnoksztalcacego / Liceum profilowanego bzw. technicznego (Graduation Certificate from Lower Educational Establishment)
AND Swiadectwo dojrzalosci - Matriculation certificate (Certificate of maturity)

Option 2* -access

Swiadectwo ukonczenia - Liceum zawodowego (Vocational School Graduation Certificate)
AND Swiadectwo dojrzalosci - Matriculation certificate (Certificate of maturity) 

Option 3 -access

Swiadectwo ukonczenia - Technikum - Technical School Graduation Certificate 
AND Swiadectwo dojrzalosci - Matriculation certificate (Certificate of maturity).
For the new or expanded field of studies a Graduation Certificate in previous field of study and proof of 0.5 successful academic year(s) in new corresponding subjects is needed.

* Access for the field of secondary education and related subjects. 
For the new field of studies a Graduation Certificate in previous field of study and proof of 0.5 successful academic year(s) in new corresponding subjects is needed.

FOR MASTER'S DEGREE APPLICANTS

Minimum requirement is: Bachelor (inzynier / licencjat)

It must be a degree from a recognised University in Poland (this will be also audited by the study programme administrator).
Universities and recognition bodies may refrain from accepting a higher education qualification based on a university degree if, in the specific case, a sufficient scientific character of the training is questionable or visibly absent.

Language Requirements

Applicants from abroad prove their proficiency in the language(s) of instruction at the time of their application. Depending on the degree programme, language certificates for German (at least B2) or English (B2, Toefl, IELTS certificate) must be presented.

International Foundation Programme

If you don't have yet the necessary (language) skills or miss sufficient credits in mathematics/phiysics/English for selected sudy degree programmes? The FH Upper Austria offers for those applicants an <link en study foundation-programmes international-foundation-programme>International Foundation Programme. Students will be enrolled as external students during the time of programme. This allows for obtaining visa and student residence permit.

Visa

You need no visa to come to Austria. If you have sufficient financial means to finance your stay in Austria and valid health insurance covering all the necessary costs, you only need a valid travel document (passport or identity card) for entry to and residence in Austria. If you are going to stay in Austria for more than 3 months you have to register with the competent municipal authority (Magistrat, Bezirkshauptmannschaft) within 4 months of your stay.
