The department of International Relations assigns the further development and implementation of the FH Upper Austria internationalization strategy, the international marketing as well as interfaculty projects as main tasks. Vice-President for International Relations Prof. Dr. Andreas Zehetner (andreas.zehetner@fh-ooe.at) is the responsible person for this field at the level of the extended executive board.
Furthermore, each school has it's own Vice-Dean for Internationalization and an International Office (FH Upper Austria Campus Hagenberg, Linz, Steyr and Wels). These offices are primary responsible for the management of the partner university network worldwide and the counselling and realization of students-, teaching- and administration mobilities.

- Leadership of the continuous development process of the strategic positioning of the FH Upper Austria in the field of internationalization
- Integration of campus specific goals and strategies in the overall strategy of the FH Upper Austria
- Representation of the FH Upper Austria in international networks and organisations in the field of internationalisation (e.g. CEEMAN, IAUP, EPU, EUA, ACA)
- Interface to stakeholders such as the State of Upper Austria, Business Upper Austria, Innovation holding, Austrian Exchange Service, external Trade Offices, Ministries, Embassies and many more.
