Runtastic - MC graduates in the APP heaven

Founded in 2009, Runtastic has rapidly grown into an innovative suite of apps, products and services that track and manage health and fitness data to motivate individuals to get in shape, stay healthy and improve overall fitness.  With more than 35 million downloads and 15 million registered users on Runtastic.com, Runtastic's mobile applications sync directly with proprietary hardware to track distance, speed, pace, time, heart rate, calorie consumption and route traveled (via maps) when running, biking or engaging in other exercise activities. The results can then be viewed directly within the app, via Runtastic GPS devices or on Runtastic.com where users can view their online training log, get detailed data analysis and compare with others. Whether you are a novice or an athlete, Runtastic makes exercise easy and fun. Additional information can be found at Runtastic.com

Tractive - New Startup focusing on Pet Tracking

With a GPS device for pets and an accompanying app, Tractive offers pet lovers the opportunity to be always informed about the exact position of their pets. Runaway and lost pets can be easily found again.  But the app can also manage your pet’s data – independently from the GPS service. It is actually possible to manage vet appointments, weight, or allergies.

Even uploading and sharing images is supported – now on its own portal (www.peterest.com) including the accompanying apps. Tractive was founded by Michael Lettner (graduate MC), Michael Hurnaus (graduate MTD), and Michael Tschernuth (graduate MC).

V-Play - Sophisticated Cross Platform Game Engine

V-Play offers a game engine for easy cross-platform game development. This enables game developers to save the time for porting and adapting a game to different devices like iPhone, Android or BlackBerry phones.

V-Play provides many components which are frequently used in mobile games like Angry Birds or Doodle Jump: These components include in-app purchases and ads to monetize games, seamless Facebook integration for attracting players and many more.

V-Play also publishes own games to showcase the powerful technology – some examples are Squaby (a tower defense game), Chicken Outbreak and a Particle Editor app. More games are ready for download here: http://v-play.net/showcases/

The V-Play GmbH was founded by Christian Feldbacher (MC graduate) and Alex Leutgöb and is constantly looking for new talents to join the V-Play team, where the top-class education in Hagenberg is a big plus.
