10th Conference Industrial Computer Tomography (iCT2020) at the FH Upper Austria Campus Wels

276 experts from 30 countries are now making their tenth pilgrimage to Wels: At the conference for industrial computer tomography, they are virtually mutually examining their research results.

The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Wels has been operating X-ray CT (computed tomography) for industrial applications for 16 years. "At that time, there was no suitable international conference, so we invited the expert audience ourselves", says host Dr. Johann Kastner. The initially small German-speaking conference turned into an international conference, which is now firmly anchored in the diaries of experts and industry leaders.

Johann Kastner, initiator of the conference, is pleased about the very high interest in the conference. This year's iCT2020 was attended by 276 visitors from 30 countries on all 5 continents. The participants came from Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, France, Japan, South Korea, China, Israel, USA, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, Australia and many other countries. The conference was accompanied by a trade exhibition with 30 stands.

According to the basic concept of the iCT, that the conference is oriented at the interface between research and industry, about 50 % of the participants came from universities and research institutions and about 50 % from industry and CT manufacturing companies.
