Getting to Hagenberg

Hagenberg is located in Upper Austria's beautiful Muehlviertel region and only 20 kilometres from Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. Easy access by road, bus and rail and proximity to Blue Danube airport support our strong national and international connections.

There is a free shuttle bus from the airport to the train station in Hörsching, where trains for Linz leave every hour. The airport transfer bus no.  601 links the airport to Linz city centre. Taxis are available outside the Arrivals hall. You can also hire a car at the car rental offices located in the offices near Main Car Park 1. Follow the Mühlkreis Autobahn A7 heading towards Prague – take the Unterweitersdorf exit – take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Königswiesener Str./B124 – after approx. 3 km turn left to Hagenberg.
Journey time approx. 20 minutes

...coming from Freistadt

Follow S10 until Prager Str./B125 – leave E55 – take the 3rd exit onto Königswiesener Str./B124 – after approx. 3 km turn left to Hagenberg
Journey time: approx. 15 minutes

...coming from Vienna

Follow the West Autobahn A1 towards Salzburg – take the St. Valentin exit – continue on Landstraße 123 via Mauthausen and Pregarten in the direction of Hagenberg
Journey time: approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

..coming from Salzburg

Follow the A1 West Autobahn heading towards Vienna until Linz junction – take the Unterweitersdorf exit – take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Königswiesener Str./B124 – after approx. 3 km turn left to Hagenberg.
Journey time: 1 hour 30 minutes

...coming from Graz

Follow the A9 Pyhrnautobahn until Voralpenkreuz junction – A1 until Linz junction – A7 towards Prague – take the Unterweitersdorf exit - at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Königswiesener Str./B124 – after approx. 3 km turn left towards Hagenberg.
Journey time: 2 hours 30 minutes

...coming from Germany

When coming from Munich/Salzburg, follow the A1 Autobahn heading until Linz junction – A7 towards Prague – take the Unterweitersdorf exit – take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Königswiesener Str./B124 – after approx. 3 km turn left to Hagenberg.

Via Passau: Follow the A8 Autobahn (Suben border crossing) until Linz junction – A7 towards Prague – take the Unterweitersdorf exit – take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Königswiesener Str./B124 – after approx. 3 km turn left to Hagenberg.

GPS

Please be aware that there are several places in Austria called “Hagenberg”. When you enter the destination in your GPS device, choose “Hagenberg im Mühlkreis (OÖ)” (48° 22’ N, 14° 30’ E).

Parking

There is both outdoor and underground parking available to staff and guests in and around the software park. Car parks are indicated on the Hagenberg Campus map.

By bus

Hagenberg is also linked to the capital of Linz by bus. The 399 Express Service and the 311 coach provide a frequent service between Linz main train station und our campus. For details and timetables please check the OÖVV Verkehrsverbund website.

By train

There is a regular train service between the capital of Linz and Pregarten, which is only 4 kilometres away from Hagenberg. The journey takes about 45 minutes. The train schedule is available at www.oebb.at.
