"With a passion for mathematics, it seemed like a good fit for me."
"I was looking for an opportunity to study aboard and experience a new education system when I came across the EE program. With a passion for mathematics, it seemed like a good fit for me.
"Small class sizes allow a more personal experience"
"Going into the program I didn't know what to expect but overall it has been a very satisfying experience. We get to learn about a wide range of topics which is complemented by hands on work in fully equipped laboratories. The small class sizes allow for a more personal experience where you don't feel overlooked by professors. In my opinion, one of the major benefits the program has, is the diversity. The majority of the students are also international students, so you get to meet and work with people from all over the world.
"Electrical Engineering is on the forefront to achieving a greener future"
"Electrical Engineering is on the forefront to achieving a greener future and this program does a really nice job of paving the way for a successful career in the industry. After I finish my Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, I hope to use my newfound knowledge in the area of transportation, ideally in the field of aeronautics."
"Quality over quantity"
"The things that really stood out, once I began my journey in EE, were the high standards imposed by the faculty members at the FH. The expression "Quality over quantity" holds a high value within this programme."
"The beauty of a 2 meter high lightning strike instilled both excitement and reverence for this discipline."
"The moment I was introduced to High Voltage Engineering and the subsequent labs that followed were the pinnacle of my studies. Experiencing fist hand the beauty of a 2 meter high lightning strike, just meters away from me, instilled both excitement and reverence for this discipline."
"Carrier in high voltage applications"
"At the end of my Master's I decided to bring my love for high voltage engineering to the field of power electronics. And so I did, I joined BRP Rotax to pursue a carrier in high voltage applications for power electronics."
"Broad range of industry-relevant skills"
"Initially, what appealed to me most about the EE programme at the FH was the broad range of industry-relevant skills it offered you to learn. Well, yeah, I mean, you'd never really get to use all of them simultaneously in your future career, but hey, you never really know what niche detail of your portfolio appeals to your prospective employer..."
"The classes are practice oriented with a hands-on approach"
Then there are cool aspects of the program I only got to learn after starting it. The classes are practice oriented with a hands-on approach that ensures you are a competent Electrical Engineer by the time you've graduated.
"Your colleagues here are your lifesavers, and you can count on them"
"And last, and perhaps THE stand-out aspect of the program, the small class sizes that ensures the level of closeness between peers that's unique and quintessential to the FH. Your colleagues here are your lifesavers, and you can count on them for stuff both within and beyond the FH. My goal is to complete the program assured that it'll leave me well prepared to face the field of Engineering I'm thoroughly passionate about. The field that's as vast as they come and with endless possibilities!"
