Die FH OÖ plant, das Wintersemester 2020/21 im Regulärbetrieb mit einem höheren Fernlehreanteil durchzuführen (abhängig von den Rahmenbedingungen). Die konkrete Gestaltung der Lehrveranstaltungen wird durch die Fakultäten getroffen. Update 05.06.2020

Mit 15. Juni 2020 wird die FH OÖ im Großen und Ganzen in den Zustand "vor Covid" zurückkehren. Jene Lehrveranstaltungen wo es möglich ist werden weiterhin im Distance Modus abgehalten. Lehrveranstaltungen, Prüfungen, Übungen etc., die in Präsenz abgehalten werden, unterliegen weiterhin den auf der Website angeführten Sicherheitsbestimmungen. Klausureinsichten sind nach vorheriger Anmeldung und unter Einhaltung o. g. Vorgaben wieder möglich. Bibliotheken werden ebenfalls unter den o. g. Rahmenbedingungen wieder geöffnet (inklusive Lesebereich).

Update 29.04.2020

Wie angekündigt, geht die FH OÖ ab Montag, 4. Mai 2020 in einen eingeschränkten Präsenzbetrieb über. Dazu ergehen folgende Regelungen:

Grundsätzlich gilt weiterhin, dass alle Lehrveranstaltungen, die in einem Distanz-Modus abgehalten werden können, in dieser Form auch abzuhalten sind. Prüfungen, Übungen etc. die - aus terminlichen und/oder didaktischen Gründen - nicht verlegt werden können und bei denen Präsenz zwingend erforderlich ist, können unter Einhaltung der unter www.fh-ooe.at/coronavirus-update kommunizierten Sicherheitsbestimmungen abgewickelt werden.

Update

Bundesminister Faßmann hat in seiner Pressekonferenz letzten Montag eine Verlängerung des Herunterfahrens des Forschungs- und Lehrbetriebs an Universitäten und Hochschulen auf ein Minimum bis 30. April 2020 bekanntgegeben. Uns als technische Fakultät trifft diese Reduktion des Präsenzbetriebs besonders hart, da viele unserer Lehrkonzepte auf eine praktische Anwendung des theoretischen Wissens in Form von Laborübungen aufbauen. Wo immer es möglich und didaktisch sinnvoll ist, wurde natürlich auf alternative Lehr- und Lernformen umgestellt. Dies haben Sie auch in den letzten Wochen mit großem Einsatz und Engagement mitgetragen, nochmals ein herzliches Dankeschön dafür!

Um uns für die Zeit nach diesem Minimalbetrieb bestens vorzubereiten, erfassen wir gerade die noch ausständigen Lehrveranstaltungen des Sommersemester, die unbedingt in Präsenzform abgehalten werden müssen. Da davon auszugehen ist, dass auch nach dem 30. April die Covid 19-bedingten Hygienevorschriften einzuhalten sind, berücksichtigen wir bei der Planung dieser LVAs auch Szenarien wie Kleingruppenbetrieb, Verwendung von Masken und Handschuhen, Mindestabstände, usw. Der so entwickelte Stundenplan für diese Präsenzlehrveranstaltungen für den Zeitraum von frühestens Mai bis Juli 2020 wird im Vorfeld mit den Lehrenden und Technikern abgestimmt und spätestens Ende April in gewohnter Weise im Levis bzw. Ihrem Stundenplan abgebildet.

In analoger Weise planen wir für den o.g. Zeitraum wieder Prüfungen für Kleingruppen im Präsenzbetrieb. Auch dazu wird derzeit an Konzepten gearbeitet, die diese Rahmenbedingungen (Covid19-bedingte Hygienevorschriften) berücksichtigen. Nähere Informationen dazu werden Ihnen nach Ostern übermittelt.

Update: April 03, 2020

In his press conference last Monday, Federal Minister Faßmann announced an extension of the reduction of face-to-face teaching and research operations in higher education to a minimum until 30 April 2020. As the School of Engineering, we are particularly affected by this reduction, as many of our teaching concepts are based on the practical application of theoretical knowledge through laboratory exercises. Wherever possible and didactically reasonable, we have switched to alternative teaching and learning methods. You have also supported this with great dedication and commitment in the last few weeks, once again a big thank you!

In order to be well prepared for the time after the minimum operation, we are currently listing the pending courses of the summer term, which absolutely require attendance. It is to be expected that the Covid 19-caused hygiene regulations are to be kept also after April 30th. Therefore, we consider scenarios like small group operation, use of masks and gloves, minimum distances, etc. The timetable developed in this way for these face-to-face classes for the period from May to July 2020 at the earliest will be agreed with faculty and technicians in advance and displayed in the usual manner in Levis and your calendar by end of April at the latest.

In the same way, we are also planning examination operations for small groups for the above-mentioned period. Here too, we are currently working on concepts that take these general circumstances (Covid19-related hygiene regulations) into account. More detailed information will be sent to you after Easter.

Update

In Entsprechung der Aussagen der österreichischen Bundesregierung und nach Rücksprache mit dem Mehrheitseigentümer wird der PRÄSENZBETRIEB an der FH Oberösterreich an allen fünf Standorten ab Sonntag 15. März 2020 00:00 Uhr und aus heutiger Sicht bis Sonntag 22. März 2020 komplett eingestellt. Änderungen, weitere Informationen werden laufend auf der FH OÖ Website bzw. via E-mail zur Verfügung gestellt.

Sie erreichen aber alle Studiengänge und Abteilungen über die auf der Homepage angegebenen Mailadressen.

Virtuelle Lehrveranstaltungen uä. finden wie angekündigt statt. Nähere Details erhalten Sie in Abstimmung mit Ihrem LVA-Leiter*in.

Update: March 13, 2020
In accordance with the statements of the Austrian Federal Government and after consultation with the majority shareholder, PRESENSE OPERATION at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences will be completely discontinued at all five campuses from Sunday 15 March 2020 hours and, from today's perspective, until Sunday 22 March 2020. Changes and further information will be made available on the FH Upper Austria website or via e-mail on an ongoing basis.

However, you can reach all degree programmes and departments via the e-mail addresses given on the homepage.

Virtual courses etc. will take place as announced. You receive further details in coordination with your programme administrator.

Zum Schutz unserer Studierenden und Mitarbeiter*innen und um einer möglichen Verbreitung des Corona Virus entgegenzuwirken, werden ab Mittwoch, 11. März 2020 bis auf weiteres keine Präsenzlehrveranstaltungen an der FH OÖ durchgeführt. Der Lehrbetrieb soll trotz dieser Maßnahme so weit wie möglich über „e-learning“ und „home-learning“ fortgeführt werden.

Am FH OÖ Campus Wels sind die Gebäude bis auf weiteres zugänglich. Die Verwaltung und die Studiengangs-Sekretariate haben regulär geöffnet. Wir ersuchen allerdings alle Personen bei Fragen im ersten Schritt mit den betreffenden Stellen per E-Mail oder telefonisch Kontakt aufzunehmen.

FAQ Studierende

Präsenzzeiten: Aufgrund einer Weisung des Bundesministeriums für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung und um einer möglichen Verbreitung des Corona Virus entgegenzuwirken, werden ab Mittwoch, 11. März 2020 bis auf weiteres keine Präsenzlehrveranstaltungen an der FH OÖ durchgeführt. Details dazu werden in den kommenden Tagen von den Studiengangsleitungen mit den Lehrenden abgestimmt. Diese werden Sie zeitnah mit entsprechenden Infos kontaktieren und mit Ihnen abstimmen, wie die geplanten Lehrveranstaltungen abgehalten werden können.

Für aktuelle Informationen ersuchen wir alle Studierenden laufend ihre Mails, moodle und LEVIS abzufragen.

Prüfungen (inkl. Nachklausuren)

Die Entscheidung, ob und in welchem Umfang Prüfungen (inkl. Nachklausuren) abgehalten werden, liegt im Ermessen der Studiengangsleitung und wird individuell mit den zu Prüfenden abgestimmt. Generell kann festgehalten werden, dass ausschließlich Prüfungen in Kleinstgruppen vorgenommen werden im Sinne des „Social Distancing“. Ziel ist es, soweit wie möglich negative Auswirkungen auf Studienverlauf oder Studienzeit zu verhindern. Eine Nicht-Teilnahme an Prüfungen in Kleinstgruppen ist für Studierende ohne studienrechtliche Konsequenz möglich, die Prüfung kann dann zu einem späteren Termin erfolgen. Bitte dazu um entsprechende Abmeldung bzw. Kontaktaufnahme mit dem jeweiligen Studiengangs-Sekretariat.

Bibliothek

Die Lesebereiche der Bibliothek sind bis auf weiteres geschlossen! Falls Sie physische Medien benötigen, melden Sie sich bitte im Vorhinein per Mail, telefonisch oder über MS Teams (bei Julijana Wieser oder Elisabeth Lechner). Rückgaben sind über unsere Bücherklappe möglich, aber nicht dringend nötig, da die Leihfristen bis auf weiteres ausgesetzt sind und keine Medien fällig werden. Bitte zögern Sie nicht, uns zu kontaktieren. Wir helfen Ihnen gerne bei der Recherche, Problemen mit dem Fernzugriff und ähnlichem.

Berufspraktikum / Masterarbeit an der FH OÖ

Studierende, die z.B. im Rahmen eines Berufspraktikums oder einer Masterarbeit bei der FH OÖ angestellt sind, haben ungehinderten Zutritt zu den Büros und Labors wie bisher.

In order to protect our students and staff and to counteract a possible spread of the corona virus, no classroom teaching will be held at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences starting from Wednesday, 11 March 2020 until further notice. Despite this measure, teaching is to continue as far as possible via "e-learning" and "home-learning".

At the FH Upper Austria Wels Campus the buildings are accessible until further notice. The administration and the degree programme administration offices are open regularly. However, we ask all persons to contact the relevant offices by e-mail or telephone if they have any questions in the first instance.

FAQ applicants
Admission interviews or admission test: You will be informed directly by the degree programme administrators about the procedure of the admission interviews and a possible admission test.

Events / “Student for a Day”:
All events planned until Easter at the FH Upper Austria Campus in Wels have been cancelled, including the Open House event on Friday, 20 March. FAQ Students
Attendance times: Due to a directive of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and in order to counteract a possible spread of the corona virus, from Wednesday, 11 March 2020 until further notice no attendance lectures will be held at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Details will be coordinated with the lecturers by the Heads of Studies in the coming days. They will contact you promptly with relevant information and agree with you how the planned courses can be held.

For up-to-date information we ask all students to check their e-mails, Moodle and LEVIS on a regular basis.

Examinations (incl. resits)
The decision as to whether and to what extent examinations (including resits) are held is at the discretion of the Head of Studies and is agreed individually with the examiners. In general, it can be stated that only examinations in very small groups are held in the sense of "social distancing". The aim is to prevent negative effects on the course of study or the duration of study as far as possible. Non-participation in examinations in very small groups is possible for students without any consequences in terms of study law; the examination can then take place at a later date. For this purpose, please cancel your registration or contact the respective course secretariat.

Library

The reading areas of the library are closed until further notice! If you need books, please, contact us beforehand by mail, telephone or MS Teams (Julijana Wieser or Elisabeth Lechner). You can return books by using our return box in front of the library. But you do not have to, because the books will not be due until further notice. Please, do not hesitate to contact us. We are happy to help you with any questions regarding research or problems with remote access.

Internship / Master thesis at the FH OÖ
Students who are employed by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austrian, e.g. as part of a professional internship or a master thesis, have unhindered access to the offices and laboratories as before.
