Phd Programme in Public Health and Social Sciences in Armenia and Georgia

As part of Erasmus+ funding programme “Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education funding  -Key Action 203”  Christian Stark as Head of Master Programme social work could successfully acquire  a project  for capacity building in higher Education. The total volume of the project is 600.00 €. The aim of the project is to establish Phd Programme in Public Health and social sciences in Armenia and Georgia. The coordinator of the project is Yerevan State Medical University from Armenia. Further cooperation partners are Yerevan State University of Armenia, Slovak Medical University from Bratislava, Babes-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca from Romania, University of Gothenburg from Sweden and from Georgia Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Also Ministries of Education and Science of Armenia and Georgia are partners. The main task of University of Applied science Upper Austria is to contribute its social work expertise and to impart the meaning of social work for Public Health by staff trainings. Christian Stark as project manager for University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria participated at the Kick-Off Meeting in Tbilisi/Georgia where framework conditions, financial management and distribution of competences took place. The meeting gave also chance to get impressions of the fascinating  city Tbilisi.
