University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria: Student from Steyr optimises major construction sites worldwide.

Florian Altmann BSc (25) from Regau is studying for a Master’s degree in Operations Management at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences Management Faculty in Steyr. The services of his start-up company INSITE IT are in such demand from India to the United States that he has had to postpone completing his degree. Together with two colleagues his company offers integrated solutions for material management of large scale construction sites. The entrepreneurs optimise the logistics of construction sites with a project volume of several million euros, offering a professional consulting service and their own software. Steelworks and industrial plants are being constructed with greater efficiency, more smoothly and cost effectively in India, Brazil or Indonesia thanks to the know-how of the resourceful young academics.
