Application

Students seeking admission to one of the degree programmes of the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences require excellent command of German in addition to fulfilling the standard entry requirements (see Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree).

Exception: The Master’s degree programmes „International Marketing Management“ (IMM) and “Mobile Computing” (MC) as well as the Bachelor’s programme “Global Sales Management” (GSM) are held in English throughout. Click here for the application forms for IMMMC and GSM.

Applications in German can be submitted by post or online.

There are three deadlines for application:
January 31st, March 31st and June 30th

You can apply for up to 3 degree programmes

It is possible to apply for up to 3 degree programmes at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences.  However, it is strongly recommended that you form a clear picture for yourself about your own interests as well as the content of the individual degree programmes.
In the event of applying for more than one degree programme it is important that candidates indicate their first preference the priority each application has (1 = top priority).  The application will be sent to the top priority degree programme where it will be dealt with. The invitation to participate in the entrance procedure and test will be extended by this degree programme.

Application procedure

Applicants for Bachelor’s degree programmes will be invited to an interview and an entrance test.  Master’s degree programmes also require an interview, case study or letter of motivation.  The results will be sent to you within three weeks.
If it is not possible to offer you a place on the first-choice degree programme of your first choice, we will automatically pass your application to the degree programmes which you have nominated as your second or third choice.

Prerequisites of study

Ready to go: entry requirements for studies at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences

Bachelor’s degree programmes:

  • ‘A’’-Level / high school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Without ‘A’-Level: university entrance exam or study preparatory programme

Master’s degree programmes:

Successful completion of at least a 6 semester specialised relevant Bachelor’s degree or a comparable higher education at university level.

Graduates of an Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences Master’s degree programme are entitled to follow a PhD course at a university in Austria or abroad.

For special requirements and recognition of previous qualifications refer to the particular programme of studies.
