Exchange students: Please note that we can only accept applications from students from our partner universities (please refer to the list of Steyr Campus partner universities).
Applicants for regular studies (completing a full programme) are welcome also from other universities (application regular students).

Students Application Form and Learning Agreement for International Exchange Students

This form has to be filled in by students from partner universities who wish to study in Steyr for one semester or for a year. The Learning Agreement is part of the application form and is an agreement between the student, the sending institution and the host institution concerning the courses that will be followed and what credits will be given at the end of the semester after the courses have been successfully completed. It is possible to change the learning agreement in the first two weeks of the semester only if there are clashes or cancellations of courses.

  • If you would like us to arrange accommodation for the duration of your stay in Steyr please complete this form carefully. If you do not need our help with accommodation just fill in the first page and answer NO to accommodation.

  • ALL applicants have to fill in the Certification of Finances!

Furthermore please send:

1. photocopy of your passport
2. 2 recent passport-sized photos
3. your latest transcript of records
4. Incoming students have to meet the following English language proficiency requirements:
- Students from the EU: level B2
- Others: TOEFL CBT 196, TOEFL IBT 70, IELTS 5.5, TOEIC 700, or Cambridge FCE.
Note: if you take a TOEFL test, you can use our university's TOEFL code: 9775 to send us the results automatically.
5. Confirmation of the insurance cover (in English; Confirmation example) or Copy of insurance card/insurance paper (INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS FROM THE EU: EU Insurance Card is enough!!!)

Our deadlines for the receipt of all application forms are:

15th of April for students wishing to study in winter semester.
30th of September for students wishing to study in summer semester.

Information for Visa application process

Before you can apply for a visa to come to Austria you must receive the official acceptance letter from our office. With that letter you can start your visa application process.

Please refer to the information provided by the Austrian Exchange Service and the Austrian embassies in your home country.
