The major upheaval affecting the country's health sector has highlighted the need for substantial structural changes to ensure future requirements in quality health care and economic efficiency are met. Competitive pressures, achievement-oriented remuneration and rising costs require long-term, economic and qualitative action.
Our Bachelor’s “Process Management in Health Care” (PMG) is specifically targeted to address the problems of the health sector in this period of change. In particular, the programme's sophisticated process management know-how is ideally suited to deal with the need for the standardisation and further development of many mechanisms in health service quality and process cycles. This applies to both service providers and also other enterprises in the health care sector value chain.
I completed my internship at the Charity Hospital in New Orleans, where I evaluated the emergency department and compiled a catalogue of measures with suggestions for improvement. I am proud of the fact that much of this has been put into practice.Sigrun Angerer,
