Who we are

The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria Research & Development, Ltd.
Research & Development should be one of the highest mandates for any business and it is the keyword for innovation and the driving force behind innovation. So that this large responsibility is not borne alone by industry and Austria’s social institutions, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria supports numerous businesses and enterprises with their outstanding R&D spectrum as a competent partner.
The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria Research & Development, Ltd. was specially created by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria to carry out research projects and represents for businesses a flexible and highly qualified partner in all questions of research. The benefit to our partners is obvious: practical R&D results can be achieved directly, which in turn substantially strengthens the ability of the business to compete.
R&D Advisory Council since 2005
When the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria was re-structured it procured the subject area of research and development a special place in the organisation, and in Spring, 2005 an R&D advisory council was called into existence. This ensures a strategic alignment of all R&D activities at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in coordination with other R&D facilities.
The seven members of the advisory council have their roots in different areas of the economy and are thereby well-positioned to decide practically on seminal R&D activities. The highest principle of the advisory council is to make R&D activities socially and economically viable, and not let them become an end unto themselves.
