Realization

How are R&D projects realised?
Our R&D ventures are carried out in the form of projects. Every project manager at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria is familiar with the methods of project management. Furthermore the centralised R&D controlling office will ensure that projects will not only be a success contentwise, but also that they remain within their financial targets. The project lifetimes ranges from a few months up to five years.
The enterprises with whom we co-operate act as project partners and make personnel resources and/or monetary means available.
What form does the financing of these projects take?
In principle we distinguish between industry-funded projects and cooperative projects, which find financial backing in support programmes. The financing of industry-funded projects is borne exclusively by our partners in industry. Projects which receive financial backing from support programmes (e.g., Josef Ressel-Centre, COIN, EU Framework Programme, BRIDGE Programme, FIT-IT, Take Off, I2, etc.) must correspond to the respective programme’s goals and fulfill all requirements.
How can your enterprise carry out a project with the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria Research & Development, Ltd.?

For companies who cannot associate themselves with one particular area of research, our central office would be pleased to assist in contacting the right contact person within the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria Research & Development, Ltd.
What personnel resources are available?
Qualified young research assistants and experienced professors work together to solve the issue. Depending upon the needs and requirements of the individual project, students, internship trainees and graduates can also be brought on board.
