The student apartments in the Tabor part of Steyr are located a 12 minute walk away from Steyr Campus and the city centre. In the immediate vicinity of the apartments you will find a very good infrastructure as you can see in the following chart:

All rooms are fully furnished. The apartment has a well-equipped kitchen (including oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, cutlery, pots, dishes etc.) and a shared living room. Toilets and bathrooms are shared.  This apartment has an additional toilet and a balcony.

Bedding, sheets and covers and towels are at your disposal. The flat is equipped with a TV-set (SAT) and a HiFi system.

The facilities of the house include a new washing machine and a tumble drier in the cellar. You will also find a specific room for bicycles, a drying room and a room for garbage collection in the cellar. The house has two elevators and a roof garden.

Rental conditions

Amount of deposit (refundable)*: 1-month's rent
Rent payment period: 1 month in advance in cash or bank transfer
Rent for a single room: 275 € per month
Rent for a double room: 225 € per month

* The deposit will be refunded, if no damage is done in the apartment and no keys are lost.

Internet access

Internet access is available via wireless LAN, but not included in the rent! We have a special contract with the Internet provider “VEREX”, which is located in the ground floor of your  apartment-house Porschestr. 7.

The cost for broadband Internet access is 10,- per month (unlimited, fair use). For activation there will be a onetime fee of 15,-.

Procedure: as soon as you arrive you go to the VEREX office (opening hours Mo-Th 9am-6pm, Fr 9am-2pm) and register for Internet with your Notebook. They need your MAC-Address (=address of your networkcard) in order to activate your account. After that, payment is very easy: You don’t need to pay in the office, you just pay the Internet fees in cash once a month to the landlord, who will pass them on to the office.
