Forum Nokia Developer Consultancy Network
The Mobile Computing department at the Hagenberg campus is a member of the Forum Nokia Developer Consultancy Network. As a full member of this network, University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Campus Hagenberg, gains access to Nokia training materials and resources on Qt/Maemo/MeeGo and Windows Phone.
As part of the main curriculum for students, the Mobile Computing department offers a Bachelor's and a Master's degree programme which combine software development, communications technologies and telecommunications engineering in its syllabus. All relevant areas of the mobile computing field are covered, including conceptualisation of communications systems, development of new interactive technologies for mobile phone applications, design of a smart home environment, or implementation of new mobile services. The department hosts 6 full-time professors specialising in different areas of mobile computing.
In addition to the degree programmes, we offer the following services concerning Qt/Maemo/MeeGo and Windows Phone training and projects:
- Training for external, incoming, and international students
- Training for industry in the form of training days or specialised courses
- Consultancy for specific projects
- Research and Development (funded or pure industry projects)
- Prototype application development / Proof of concept development
