Guest Professors

Internationalization plays a major role for our campus in Hagenberg; therefore we constantly invite guest professors to teach at our school. Some of them come on a regular basis and are mentioned below:

Prof. Ted Humphreys
  • one of the most renowned experts in the field of Information security management and acknowledged father of the ISO/IEC 27000-family of standards.
Prof. Harry Sneed 
  • in 2008 he received the Stevens Award for his pioneering work in software maintenance. He is member of the steering committee of the international and European maintenance conferences and of the IEEE Technical committee.
Prof. Zenon Chaczko
  • is senior lecturer at the software engineering department of University of Technology in Sydney. He is a renowned software engineer teaching "Software Architecture & Middleware" at Hagenberg.
Prof. Franz Meyer
  • He has been a professor for computer science at the school of Engineering and Information Technology of the Berne University of Applied Sciences ( BFH Biel) since 1984. In 2007 he was visiting professor at our department of computer science for three month and in June 2009 he will teach “Embedded Linux” at our campus.
Prof. Richard Stevens
  • is senior lecturer in music and creative technolgies at Leeds Metropolitan University. As a composer, sound designer and sound artist his recent work has been increasingly audio-visual and seeks to explore novel interfaces for interactivity.
Prof. David Raybould
  • has a background as a professional live sound engineer and is now a senior lecturer in Music and Creative Technologies at Leeds Metropolitan University.
