Applications for exchange students (ERASMUS programme or exchange agreements) are processed by the International Office at your home university. Exchange can take place after our institutions have signed a bilateral cooperation agreement.
Before applying for an ERASMUS scholarship you should make sure
- that the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Hagenberg offers suitable courses for your study programme
- that your home institution has a bilateral agreement with University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria
For your application you will need
- the application form
- the learning agreement where you list the courses you`d like to take
- for accomodation in the on-campus dormitory please register online
- a transcript of records which shows your learning achievements
- a certificate of your knowledge of English
- Please also submit your CV, a photocopy of your passport and a photo.
If English is not your mother tongue or language of education a level of TOEFL 170CBT/500PBT or IELTS 5.0 is required (for Erasmus students a certificate of an English teacher confirming B2 level is sufficient).
For participation in courses taught in German good command of the German language is required. There is a range of courses taught in English in both Bachelor`s degree and Master`s degree programmes, please contact the International Office if you want more information or look at our link "courses in English".
If there is no bilateral agreement between universities, students may still be able to study as free mover students. As there are certain requirements and deadlines involved, don`t hesitate to contact your international co-ordinator. There is no tuition fee to pay at our University.
Our internal deadline for receipt of applications under Erasmus is June 1st for students wishing to study in the Fall semester and November 15th for students interested in studying in the Spring semester.
